Using an Inspection Mirror

Creating a safe work environment is important not only to meet government regulations but also to increase your employees’ productivity. It is much easier for a person to concentrate on their work if they are not constantly worried that something might go wrong and cut off a limb. There are many ways to make an environment safer but most of them require a large investment of time and money. If you are unable to stop production long enough to give your location a complete overhaul then there are a couple of ways you can use inspection and one way mirrors to increase safety:

1) Inspection mirrors are essential to help examine machines that may be clogged, jammed or otherwise temporarily disabled. You should never try to fix a machine while it is running, because it is liable to end up with someone losing a limb, but you can use a mirror to check the problem safely. Most inspection mirrors equipment is inexpensive and easy to replace, so if you are examining a machine and it suddenly kicks back into life – destroying the mirror – you have successfully saved your employee a great deal of pain and grief while being able to assess the problem.

2) Larger mirrors are more useful for increasing your employees’ awareness of their surroundings. The more they are able to see in their environment the less likely it is that a worker will be caught off guard by a fork lift driver in a hurry, or someone starting a machine unexpectedly. This will make your operation more efficient, without forcing you to hire extra personnel to oversee every aspect of it. There are many types of mirrors that can achieve this effect, from convex to dome, and each one of them has its own particular strengths and drawbacks.

3) If you are looking for your mirror to serve a dual function, providing your employees with a way to check the environment while allowing you to check on their progress, then you need to invest in one way mirrors. By keeping your office dimly lit, while the floor is bright, you will be able to check in on your employees and make sure that they are doing their jobs, while watching for potential safety concerns. This will allow you to keep yourself informed of the situation without having to watch them full-time, which gives you the time and flexibility needed to run your business effectively.

Choosing the type, size, and style of mirrors you need for your location can become a laborious process if you are not careful. By doing research online you will be able to assess your specific needs and find a company that can work with you to meet them. When you are considering costs remember that you are investing in your company and employees’ well-being and it is not worth the risk of being cheap. If you keep these thoughts in mind as you look for the right mirrors to meet your safety concerns you will be able to find the solution that is right for you.

Inspection Mirror

A inspection mirror is a chic addition to any home. These inspection mirrors are free standing, equipped with a sturdy base. The mounted inspection mirrors can be swiveled and tilted within the stand’s framework, giving them a versatility that is rarely found in floor inspection mirrors. They are the perfect accent piece to any room, whether it currently boasts traditional or modern furniture. While many purchasers intend to use these inspection mirrors in their bedrooms, their beautiful design often earns them a prominent placement in more well-trafficked rooms. For those who are shopping for a beautiful Cheval inspection mirror on a budget, there are a number of great, cheap options.
Antique lovers will be impressed at the availability of Cheval inspection mirrors in antique shops and online auction sites. While those that were made by renowned furniture makers may be out of the price range of many, lower cost options can be readily found. Before purchasing an antique inspection mirror, it is important to research the reputation of the manufacturer in the same way that one would for contemporary pieces. Even if you are buying online, be sure to request photographs showing any signs of wear or scratches. For do-it-youselfers, it may be possible to refinish a piece that has begun to show its age.
New inspection mirrors can also be found for well under $100. Whether you are looking for traditional styling or a quirky frame, there are a number of department stores whose in-store brands carry a line of Cheval inspection mirror options. These are generally not solid wood, but their veneers make it difficult to tell the difference. Buying new is a great way to ensure that you inspection mirror will be with you for years to come, and that you are getting exactly what you want.
Through online stores, those on a budget can also find heavily discounted Cheval inspection mirrors by leading furniture designers. Many of these stores offer free or low cost shipping, even on large items such as floor inspection mirrors. This is a great way to save yourself both time and money, and access a great variety of styles than would be available locally. When shopping, make sure that you are ordering through a store that has a return policy.

Duramax Coolant problems….not cooling problems…but coolant… HELP!!!!!!?

Okay, is it absolutely necessary to remove the harmonic balancer to replace the water pump on a LLY Druamax Diesel? It doesn’t even look like the water pump is under the balancer in any way, I just spent about an hour with a flashlight and inspection mirror and it seems like it should come off with just removing the belt, fan, and maybe even the fan clutch.
The second thing I would like to ask is I was looking at the (from the front of the truck) right side head and I noticed a small puddle of coolant under it, where might it be coming from? If anyone says it’s the intake manifold gasket I’m going to jump off a bridge…mentally…that is….

Details:
I don’t have much money, and unfortunately it’s now that my poor ole’ truck is having these problems, now it’s forced to be a DIY job all the way. I don’t know, my truck has about 130,000 miles on it and it was used to pull pretty hard pulls all last year hauling 750 gallons of water on a muddy mountain road last winter on a 6k pound goose-neck trailer…and you multiply the wear and tear of that trip…times about 100 and you have the shape I’m in now. The engine still runs great, as does the truck, it’s just minor parts wearing out finally, nothing majorly mechanically wrong..there are no oil leaks, nor hard starts, nothing. Just parts deciding now is a good time to wear out…
Hahaha…I did have three cummins diesels at once.An ‘04 2500, an ‘06 3500 and a ‘98 3500 with the 12 Valve motor. I enjoyed the 04′ 3/4 ton pickup I had, it was a lot of fun. But the problem that drove me away from them the fact they were in a Dodge pickup, their transmissions aren’t all the best, and the pickups fall apart too easy, they don’t hold up to even the lightest use.
The only problem I had with the Cummins was that I couldn’t keep fuel pumps (early ‘04 fuel pump problem) and injectors ( twice it went in for all 6) but I will admit, they did run good and responded to even the most mild modification with a ton of power.
The ‘98 had over 230k miles and I never did anything to it but oil changes and fuel filters, had a timing cover gasket replaced once because it gave up and started leaking. It always ran great and started really easy

Do you like my Christmas story so far? (: Title suggestions?

Aubree Jaxon woke up on Christmas morning to the sound of Christmas music coming from the speakers of her pure white laptop. She smiled while yawning and jumped out of bed, slipping on her slippers and trudging over to the computer, muting the music.
She ambled to her full body mirror, looking at her reflection. She examined everything on her body at the moment. From her blonde hair down to her Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer themed pajamas.
Aubree tittered at her childish ways when it came to Christmas. She was fifteen years old and still enjoyed waiting for “Santa”.

Immediately after her inspection, she brushed her hair softly, nervous to see what awaited her downstairs underneath the Christmas tree.
Aubree heard her mother’s voice rousing from the living room, “Aubree!” she called consecutively.
“Coming, Mom!” Aubree called down smiling happily, “Let me brush my teeth real quick!”
Aubree, the perky blonde, skipped to the upstairs bathroom, and took hold of her lavender toothbrush and squirted the nearby Colgate toothpaste on it.
She silently hummed a Christmas tune to measure the time she brushed her teeth, making sure it was two minutes.
The blonde then took to herself to pound on her brother’s, Ayden, bedroom door.
“Wake up!” she roared, cheerily, grasping the ponytail holder that was on her wrist from the night before and tying her hair back.
Ayden, not your typical morning person, screeched back, “GO BACK TO SLEEP!”
“No, Ayden Bentley Jaxon!” she ululated, using his entire birth name for emphasis.
As she went to pound the door once more, just to aggravate her brother, the door swung open. Eighteen year old Ayden’s eyebrows rose at his little sister, “May I help you?”
“Merry Christmas!” she shouted in his face, doing a small dance in front of his door.
“Aubree Scarlett,” her dirty blonde haired brother began, “you, my sister, are a freak. I guess it’s in the Jaxon blood, though, huh?” he tilted his head, as if thinking it over.
“Yes, sir,” she remarked, sarcastically, smirking her signature smirk, “Now. Anyways, as I was saying! It’s Christmas, Ayden!” she proclaimed joyously.
“Nothing gets passed you, now does it?” he interrogated trying to act serious, while a smile was slowly forming on his lips.
“Except that you’re ugly,” she laughed at her own joke, “I’m so freaking funny.”
“Funny? That’s what you call that? I would say that your moronic ways and the fact that you laugh at your jokes is funny. You’re ‘joke,’” he put air quotes around joke to tick off his sister, who was rolling her brown eyes, “was not funny.”
“Shut up and come downstairs, loser,” as she folded her arms across her chest she walked away with a flourish.
“Not so cheery anymore?” he mocked, following her down the maroon carpeted stairs.
“Shut up, Ayden.”
“No thanks.”
“Ayden. Shut your mouth.”
“Or what?”
“I’ll shut it for you.”
“Yeah, I’m scared of a 120 pound girl,” he faked shivered, laughing hysterically, “who may I add barely hits five foot,” he teased her height, which was indeed, her weakest point.
“And I’m scared of a eighteen year old boy who’s last girlfriend was his pillow,” she smirked, stopping on the stairs to see his reaction.
“Touché, Aubree,” he brushed past her, ignoring her arrogant smirk at her victory.
Aubree laughed at her jab towards her brother and finally made it down the stairs.
